Spearman Burke

Author, Editor

After retiring from a globe spanning career of swashbuckling adventure in the U.S. Marine Corps, Spearman Burke decided to try his hand at this GI Bill thing he had been hearing about. He earned an interdisciplinary degree in English Literature and Creative Writing with a minor in Theatre. Interestingly, he learned more about storytelling in theatre than in all of his writing classes combined. That, and how to apply his own makeup, which was in utter contrast to the whole global war on terror thing he had going on before.

He currently works with the Missouri Department of Youth Services, where he hopes what positive traits he has will impact someone who needs it. When not doing that, he writes stories about heroes throwing bad guys over the horizon and shooting ray guns and sword fighting and stuff. Spearman's hobbies include wrestling sea monsters and werewolf wrangling. He is also a writer/editor with Raconteur Press and is the only person in his circle who is astonished that his first major publication is a children's book titled Giant Counting Robots.
