Jay Peterson has been everything from a nightclub bouncer to a chess coach. He once considered taking over the world, but balked once he had a look at the paperwork involved. His debut novel, Renfield Blues, was released in 2023. A sequel, Ghost Light, is currently in the works.

When not writing, Jay is a film and TV actor, usually known for playing supernatural creatures. He most recently appeared in Red One, The Piano Lesson, and The Conjuring:The Devil Made Me Do It.
