LibertyCon is a 501(c)(3) non-profit science fiction, fantasy, and STEM convention in Chattanooga TN, and a Charity for Charities. Each year we select a Charity of Choice, nominated by our attendees and staff during a Board Meeting where everyone present is allowed to cast a vote.

 

We pride ourselves on great guests, phenomenal panels, a killer ConSuite (That Ain't Quite Right Café and Bar), and our “Family Friendly Atmosphere”. We’re small on purpose. (We limit the attendees to 1,000 in our Charter) We want to give the fans a chance to sit down and chat with the guests. Could we bring in twice the attendees? Sure, but you wouldn't be able to sit on a couch with Terry Brooks talking about law, play Munchkin™ with Steve Jackson, watch Mitch Foust create a painting, or get into a discussion with Dr. Travis Taylor about quantum theory over a beer.

 

So pull up a seat, join the fun, and you'll find out that you’ve probably never met a more accepting group of people than the members of Southern Fandom.
